Common sense personal training plans that deliver uncommon results!
I use large ground based compound movements that ignite a huge metabolic response from your body. Your body moves and works as a fully enclosed unit all day long so why would you go to the gym and only train a few muscle groups? Studies have shown that exercises like deadlifts, squats, vertical presses, snatches, or swings, fire up the metabolism to create a 24 hour fat burning effect. That’s right… your body will keep burning fat up to 24 hours after your workout has ended! I train people with a simple functional approach that produces results.
Bio
- 1999 Sioux Falls Augustana College graduate. BS in Bs Admin, Soc, Psych.
- I’ve been in a gym lifting, training, and learning about fitness since 1992.
- After living in Mineapolis, Mn for 5 years my wife (Tricia) and I moved home to Sioux Falls, SD where I started Results Personal Training out of a spare bedroom in our house. - Former competitive powerlifter
- After tearing my left tricep and being forced into early retirement from powerlifting, I discovered kettlebells with some encouragement from Brad Nelson, RKC. And in 2009 I earned my Hardstyle Kettlebell certification.
- In 2010 I went on and earned my RKC.
- In 2011 I earned my CK-FMS and became the first kettlebell functional movement specialist in South Dakota.
- In 2012 I was an assistant instructor at the RKC certification course. I also earned my Primal Move Instructor certification as well as StrongFirst Girya kettlebell certification. I am South Dakota's most Senior ranked kettlebell instructor.
- I’ve had clients range in age from 10 to 75, who's goal range from weight loss, pagaentry, increasing a vertical leap, and just fitting into smaller jeans.
Corey’s Philosophy
Simple, Functional, and Results driven!
My philosophy was created after my experience in powerlifting and kettlebell training. I believe in training your body the same way you live. I use basic compound movements that get your whole body working as a complete system. The more muscles in use, equals the higher the chance for progress. The RKC and FMS taught me how to help trouble shoot weak links, and apply a system of progression to avoid injury and help ensure success.
